The Chen family opened China Garden in 2003, bringing three generations of Cantonese and Szechuan recipes to Dahlgren. Chef Wei Chen grew up in his grandmother’s kitchen in Guangzhou, learning the art of wok hei that signature breath of the wok that you can’t fake.
Every sauce is made from scratch. Our kung pao is built on hand-roasted chili peppers. The dumplings are folded fresh each morning. We source the freshest vegetables and proteins daily, because great Chinese food starts with great ingredients. No shortcuts, no compromises.

Weekends get busy fast especially Friday and Saturday dinner. Book ahead and skip the wait. Walk-ins welcome, but we can’t promise a table after 6:30 on weekends.
